PE Teacher - Salford
Start Date: After October Half Term
Duration: October Half Term - Easter 2027
Contract: Full-time, long-term agency position
Salary: £175-£240 per day, dependent on experience
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Salford who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher to join their team after the October half term.
This is an excellent opportunity for either a male or female PE Teacher looking for a full-time, long-term position running through to Easter 2027.
The Role
The successful candidate will join a supportive PE department and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons across the secondary age range.
You will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Encouraging students of all abilities to participate and develop a positive attitude towards physical activity.
- Teaching both practical and theoretical aspects of the PE curriculum.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular sport where appropriate.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department.
The school is looking for a teacher who can build strong relationships with students, maintain high expectations and bring enthusiasm and energy to every lesson.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a PE Teacher who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching PE within a secondary school.
- Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Can deliver engaging lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Is passionate about sport and physical education.
- Is reliable, enthusiastic and committed to student progress.
ECTs are welcome to apply, as well as experienced teachers.
