Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a highly experienced Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Glossop area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable TA who has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and experience working specifically within Reception.
The Role
- Supporting the Reception class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom.
- Providing targeted support to children across the EYFS curriculum.
- Supporting children's learning, development and progress through engaging activities.
- Helping children develop their communication, social and emotional skills.
- Supporting classroom routines, transitions and continuous provision.
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to ensure children receive high-quality support.
- Creating a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
The Ideal Candidate
- Essential: Significant previous experience working in a Reception classroom.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Ideally hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification.
- Confident supporting children's learning through play and structured activities.
- Warm, nurturing and patient approach with young children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a busy Reception team.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child development.
