Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a secondary-aged pupil at a specialist school in Ormskirk.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for morning-only hours who has experience supporting pupils with additional needs and can build a positive, trusting relationship with a young person.
The Role
- Supporting one secondary-aged pupil on a 1:1 basis
- Providing tailored support throughout the morning
- Helping the pupil engage with learning and school routines
- Supporting emotional regulation, confidence and positive behaviour
- Working closely with teaching staff and the wider SEN team
- Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of the pupil
We're Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Experience working on a 1:1 basis would be highly beneficial
- Someone patient, calm and consistent
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- The ability to build positive relationships and provide reassurance
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
