KS1 Teacher - Nottingham
Are you a qualified Primary Teacher with a passion for supporting children through the early stages of their education?
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic KS1 Teachers to work across primary schools in Nottingham and the surrounding areas.
Opportunities are available across Year 1 and Year 2, with some schools also interested in teachers with Reception or wider EYFS experience. Roles include daily supply, short-term cover, long-term bookings and permanent opportunities.
We are looking for full-time and part-time teachers, including experienced teachers and ECTs.
Responsibilities
Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum
Delivering effective phonics and early-reading teaching
Supporting pupils with reading, writing and mathematics
Developing children's communication, language and vocabulary
Creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching appropriately
Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
Working effectively with Teaching Assistants, colleagues and parents
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or confirmation that QTS will be awarded following teacher training
Recent KS1 experience through employment or teaching placements
Strong knowledge of phonics and early reading
Good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
EYFS or Reception experience would also be advantageous
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and suitable professional references
Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible
Right to work in the UK
Teachers undertaking short-term or long-term cover bookings are paid in line with the appropriate teaching pay scale from day one.
