Are you a passionate and experienced teacher looking to make a genuine difference to young people with Special Educational Needs?
Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutors to support children and young people in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas from June 2026 to January 2027.
This role involves working with students aged 3-18 who may be out of mainstream education or require additional support due to a range of needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and complex needs. Tuition may take place in schools, at home, or within community settings depending on the individual needs of each learner.
This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who are passionate about delivering personalised education and helping vulnerable students build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve positive outcomes.
The Role:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions to students with SEN and additional needs
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in core subjects including Maths, English, and Science
- Adapt lessons around EHCP targets, academic ability, and individual learning styles
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students, families, schools, and professionals
- Record student progress consistently and provide clear session feedback
- Create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
- Work independently while receiving ongoing support from the Tradewind team
- Flexible working hours available within school hours (8:00am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday)
Essential Requirements:
- Comfortable planning sessions.

- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Ability to adapt lessons to suit individual learners
- Compassionate, patient, and child-centred approach
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
