Daily Supply Rate: £150-£170 per day
Long-Term Contract Pay: In line with Inner London Teachers' Pay Scales, dependent on experience and responsibilities.
About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified and experienced Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teachers to work in secondary schools across Lewisham, South East London.
We have opportunities for enthusiastic and dedicated teachers looking for flexible daily supply work, as well as those interested in longer-term teaching placements.
The successful candidates will deliver engaging and inclusive MFL lessons, support students of varying abilities and contribute positively to the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons in line with the secondary school curriculum, where required.
- Teach Modern Foreign Languages, such as French, Spanish or German, across Key Stages 3 and 4, depending on the school's requirements.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and student engagement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback where appropriate.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leadership teams.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold professional teaching standards.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognised in England.
- A relevant degree-level qualification, ideally in Modern Foreign Languages or a closely related subject.
- Previous teaching experience within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality MFL lessons.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to adapt to different school environments and student needs.

Salary and Opportunities for Pay Progression
Daily Supply Teaching: £150-£170 per day
