Mathematics Teacher - Secondary School - Southwark
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Mathematics Teachers to undertake supply teaching assignments in secondary schools across Southwark.
We have opportunities for both flexible daily supply work and longer-term teaching placements. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Mathematics Teachers looking to maintain flexibility while gaining valuable experience in a range of supportive secondary school environments.
The Role
As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, your responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum, where required by the assignment.
- Teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Assessing pupils' progress and providing constructive feedback, particularly during longer-term placements.
- Adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning requirements.
- Working collaboratively with school staff to support pupils' academic progress and achievement.
- Following school safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognised in England.
- A relevant degree, ideally in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- Previous teaching experience within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering Mathematics lessons at secondary level.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A flexible, professional and reliable approach to supply teaching. xgikmsk

Salary and Pay Progression
