Tradewind Recruitment are hiring! Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher looking for a new opportunity from November 2026? We're working with a successful 11-16 boys' academy in Trafford that is looking for a passionate English Teacher to join its team on a four-day-per-week basis as maternity cover.
You'll teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, through to GCSE, with Fridays free. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a calm, purposeful school where high expectations, positive relationships and a rich wider curriculum are at the heart of school life.
The Role
- Teach engaging and challenging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Inspire students through your enthusiasm, creativity and passion for English
- Create a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to achieve their potential
- Build strong relationships with students and contribute positively to the wider school community
- Work as part of a supportive and motivated teaching team
- Teach four days per week - Monday to Thursday, with no Friday teaching commitment

What We're Looking For
- QTS or QTLS
- Recent experience teaching KS3 English, supported by professional references
- The ability to teach English Language and Literature through to GCSE
- A confident and engaging approach to classroom management
- An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, with Overseas Police Clearances where applicable
- Professional references and a full employment/education history on your CV, including explanations for any employment gaps
- The legal right to work in the UK without restrictions
