Maintenance Technician / Site Manager Reports To Headteacher / School Business Manager Job Purpose The Maintenance Technician / Site Manager is responsible for ensuring that the school site, buildings, and grounds are safe, secure, clean, well-maintained, and fully operational. The post holder will oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the premises, coordinate contractors, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, and provide a welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Site Maintenance Carry out routine inspections of school buildings, grounds, and equipment. Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating, and minor electrical work where competent. Identify maintenance issues and arrange repairs where specialist contractors are required. Maintain heating, lighting, ventilation, and water systems to ensure efficient operation.
