A primary school in Bexley are looking for a Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. The role is available immediately and would suit an experienced TA, graduate or someone with relevant experience working with children who is looking to build a career in education.
You'll be supporting a Lower KS2 class and working closely with the class teacher to help pupils stay engaged, understand their work and make progress. The role will involve:
- Supporting a Year 3/4 class
- Working with individuals and small groups
- Supporting literacy and numeracy
- Helping pupils who need additional support with their learning
- Supporting classroom behaviour and routines
- Assisting the teacher during lessons
- Preparing resources and helping with classroom activities
- Building positive relationships with pupils
The school are looking for someone who is:
- Patient and approachable
- Reliable and enthusiastic
- Confident working with children
- Able to work well with teachers and other support staff
- Interested in supporting children's learning and development
Previous primary or KS2 experience would be an advantage, but relevant experience outside of a school environment will also be considered.
