- We are currently recruiting for a
- Food Technician to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school based in
Newham, East London .
The successful candidate will provide essential technical and practical support to the
Food Technology department , helping teachers deliver engaging and effective practical lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, equipment and resources for Food Technology lessons.
- Ensure kitchens, equipment and work areas are clean, safe and well maintained.
- Support teachers and students during practical food lessons.
- Monitor and maintain food stock and order supplies when required.
- Ensure appropriate health and safety, food hygiene and COSHH procedures are followed.
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of practical demonstrations and activities.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working in a school, college, catering or food-related environment is desirable.
- Good knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and health & safety .
- Well organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Confident working with young people and supporting students in practical activities.
- A relevant Food Technology, Catering or Hospitality qualification would be advantageous.
