Are you a passionate, patient, and dedicated tutor looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?
We are seeking 1:1 SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Tutors to support learners across Leicester and Leicestershire, helping them re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people who may face barriers to mainstream education.
The Role
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition to learners with SEMH needs.
- Provide engaging and supportive learning sessions, both online and face-to-face.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet each learner's individual needs, abilities, and learning styles.
- Help learners develop confidence, emotional resilience, and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Support progress in core subjects, including English and Maths, where required.
- Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to support learner progress.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for tutors who:
- Have experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs or additional learning needs.
- Have a patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
- Can build positive relationships and engage learners who may be reluctant to participate in education.
- Are adaptable, reliable, and confident delivering personalised learning.
- Have strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
- Hold relevant teaching, tutoring, or education-related qualifications, or have suitable experience supporting young people.
