Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Hounslow on a daily supply basis. This is a great opportunity if you are looking for flexible work, want to gain further experience within secondary education, or enjoy working with young people without the commitment of a long-term placement.
The Role
- Supervising whole classes across a range of subjects
- Following lesson plans and instructions provided by teaching staff
- Ensuring students remain focused, engaged and on task
- Managing classroom behaviour confidently and consistently
- Supporting students with their learning where appropriate
- Taking and recording attendance
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff
- Maintaining a safe, positive and respectful learning environment
You will not be expected to plan or mark lessons, but you will need to be confident leading a classroom independently.

Essential Requirements
- Have experience working with secondary-aged children or young people
- Are confident managing a classroom
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Can follow instructions and deliver pre-prepared work effectively
- Are reliable, punctual and professional
- Can adapt quickly to different schools and classroom environments
- Have a genuine interest in supporting young people's education
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role would be beneficial.
