A welcoming and well-established secondary school in Enfield is looking for a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to join their premises team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced caretaker, facilities assistant or someone with strong practical skills who is looking for flexible shift work within a school environment.
The Role
As a School Caretaker, you will help ensure the school site is safe, secure, clean and well maintained. Duties will include:
- Opening and securing the school premises
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
- Supporting the smooth running of the school site
- Completing routine health and safety checks
- Assisting with deliveries and contractors
- Maintaining outdoor areas and communal spaces
- Reporting any maintenance or security issues
- Responding to day-to-day site requirements
- Ensuring the school provides a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Practical and confident carrying out basic maintenance
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to work different shifts
- Friendly and professional when dealing with staff, students and visitors
- Experienced in a caretaker, facilities, maintenance or similar role
Previous experience working within a school is desirable but not essential.
