Due to the nature of working on a supply basis , you may be required to work across a variety of school settings throughout Derby and the local area . This provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience within different schools and environments while enjoying flexibility over your working arrangements.
Working hours will vary depending on the school's requirements , with both short-term and longer-term assignments available.
The Role
As a Supply School Caretaker, you'll play an important role in ensuring school buildings and grounds are safe, secure, clean and well maintained.
Responsibilities may include:
Opening and securing school premises.
Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
Ensuring school buildings, grounds and facilities are safe and well maintained.
Completing routine health and safety checks.
Identifying and reporting maintenance issues and potential hazards.
Supporting contractors and external visitors when required.
Setting up and moving furniture and equipment.
Maintaining outdoor areas and school grounds.
Responding to maintenance requests from school staff.
Supporting the school with general site and facilities duties.
Ensuring the school environment remains safe, clean and welcoming for pupils and staff.
