An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Year 6 Teacher to work within a primary school in Bury through Tradewind Recruitment. The school is seeking a confident classroom practitioner who can prepare pupils effectively for the transition to secondary education while ensuring that learning remains engaging, ambitious and enjoyable. You will take responsibility for a Year 6 class and will play an important role in preparing pupils for the next stage of their education. Strong knowledge of the upper KS2 curriculum will be important, together with the ability to support pupils with different levels of attainment.
The position involves planning sequences of lessons, checking understanding regularly and responding to assessment information. You will also work alongside colleagues to ensure pupils receive appropriate academic and pastoral support.
- Teaching a Year 6 class across the primary curriculum
- Preparing pupils for the end of KS2
- Planning purposeful lessons with clear learning outcomes
- Supporting pupils with SATs preparation where appropriate
- Monitoring attainment and progress
- Providing additional challenge and intervention where required

The school would like to appoint a teacher who is calm, well organised and able to inspire confidence in pupils. Experience of Year 6 would be advantageous, although strong upper KS2 experience will also be considered.
You should have:
