Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary school in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, seeking an experienced Year 4 Teacher to join its team from 28th September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Key Stage 2 teacher who can quickly establish themselves within a new class, deliver consistently strong lessons and make a positive impact from day one.

The school has approximately 400 pupils aged 4-11 and is rated Good by Ofsted, including for quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and early years provision.

The school benefits from extensive outdoor space, including an outdoor classroom and wooded area, which support learning beyond the classroom.

Conveniently located in Broxbourne, the school is within easy reach of Enfield and North London, making it accessible for teachers commuting from Hertfordshire or across the London border.

The Role

As the Year 4 Teacher, you will take responsibility for the teaching, learning and progress of your class.

You will join an established team and be expected to build positive relationships while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the Year 4 curriculum.
  • Use assessment to identify gaps and accelerate pupil progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom where children become confident, independent learners.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and its enrichment opportunities.
