We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Psychology Teacher to join a secondary school and Sixth Form in Bolton on a long-term basis, starting ASAP and running through to Christmas.
This is a 0.8 FTE position, working 4 days per week, making it an ideal opportunity for a Psychology specialist looking for a long-term part-time teaching role. The successful candidate will primarily teach Psychology, with a small amount of Health & Social Care also included within the timetable.
The Role
- Teaching Psychology across secondary and Sixth Form.
- Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons.
- Supporting students to develop their subject knowledge, analytical skills and exam technique.
- Teaching some Health & Social Care alongside Psychology.
- Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of different learners.
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and academic progress.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the department.
- Supporting students with their progression and examination preparation.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Psychology.
- Experience teaching Psychology at KS5/Sixth Form is desirable.
- Experience or knowledge of Health & Social Care would be advantageous.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Able to build positive relationships with students.
- Reliable, professional and enthusiastic.
- Available to commit to the role 4 days per week through to Christmas.
