We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced SENDCo to join a welcoming and inclusive school based in Handsworth.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic SEND professional to join a 'GOOD' Ofsted-rated school that is committed to ensuring every pupil receives the support and opportunities they need to thrive.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and developing the school's SEND provision, working closely with pupils, staff, parents/carers and external professionals.

The Role

• Lead and manage the day-to-day SEND provision across the school

• Support staff in identifying and meeting the needs of pupils with SEND

• Oversee and monitor EHCPs, SEND support plans and relevant documentation

• Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents/carers and external agencies

• Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified SENDCo with relevant experience in a school setting

• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice

• Excellent understanding of SEND provision and safeguarding

• Strong organisational and communication skill

• Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
