Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Design Technology and RE to join a secondary school in Sefton , starting after the October half-term break. This is a full-time temporary position running until Christmas , providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a confident ECT looking for a short-term role.
The school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across Design Technology and Religious Education , supporting pupils to develop their knowledge, practical skills and confidence.
The Role
As a Teacher of DT and RE , you will be responsible for:
Teaching Design Technology and RE across the secondary age range.
Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons.
Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
Assessing pupil progress and providing appropriate feedback.
Working collaboratively with the wider teaching team.
Contributing positively to the school's wider ethos and environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Teacher of DT and RE will have:
QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology and RE .
Experience teaching within a secondary school.
The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons across both subjects.
Excellent classroom management skills.
A commitment to supporting pupils' progress and achievement.
An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment.
