Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a background supporting pupils with PMLD, complex needs or profound SEND? Tradewind Recruitment are working with a specialist school in Barnet who are looking for caring, patient and experienced TAs to join their team. This is a rewarding role where you'll work closely with pupils who require a high level of individual support, helping them develop their communication, independence and confidence.

The Role

  • You'll be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including PMLD, SLD, Autism and communication difficulties.
  • Your day-to-day role may include:
    • 1:1 and small-group support
    • Supporting pupils with PMLD and complex SEND
    • Personal care and daily routines
    • Mobility and physical support
    • Sensory activities and learning
    • Supporting non-verbal pupils
    • Using PECS, Makaton or AAC
    • Supporting EHCP targets
    • Positive behaviour and emotional regulation
    • Working alongside teachers and therapists

    • PMLD / complex SEND
    • Personal care
    • Hoisting and mobility support
    • Wheelchair users
    • PEG feeding or complex care
