Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Term Time Only)
Salary/Pay Rate: Β£117.25 - Β£144.60 per day
Job Overview
An Alternative Provision within the Accrington area is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for an outreach role. This position involves working 5 days a week delivering tailored 1:1 interventions to students who require specialised academic, social, or emotional support outside of the traditional classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver bespoke 1:1 intervention programmes focusing on core subjects (Literacy/Numeracy) or social-emotional learning (SEMH).

Work flexibly across various educational settings or designated outreach learning spaces within the Accrington area.

Adapt teaching and intervention materials to suit individual student learning styles and developmental needs.

Track, record, and report student progress closely to senior leadership and external educational agencies.

Build positive, mentoring relationships with disengaged students to re-engage them in their education.
Candidate Requirements

Hold an official HLTA status (or equivalent relevant professional qualification).

Proven experience delivering 1:1 interventions or targeted support, ideally within an outreach, SEND, or alternative provision context.

Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one quickly).

Full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport for travel across the Accrington locality is preferred.
