Job Description

Tradeweb’s Finance function operates a global team across two different locations – New York and London. The department consists of over 50 employees overseen by the CFO based in New York. In London, the team is managed by the Managing Director, Head of International Finance.

Tradeweb is currently looking to recruit a Statutory & Regulatory Accountant to join the International Finance team. The vision for this role is that the successful candidate will build a working knowledge of Tradeweb’s statutory financial and regulatory reporting processes with help and support from external accountant, service providers and auditors.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of financial statements and quarterly and annual regulatory returns for all international entities and branches
  • Assist in dealing with requests from the auditors
  • Ownership of statutory ledgers which includes preparation of statutory journal entries
  • Understanding and interpreting current and forthcoming accounting standards and regulatory reporting rules to ensure ongoing IFRS and regulatory compliance for the international entities
  • Assist in finance automation projects relating to global Statutory and Regulatory reporting and ad-hoc request from the business with regards to the statutory ledgers
  • Support monthly and quarterly variances analysis and board minutes preparation
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and departments to explain financial requirements and develop knowledge sharing

    • Essential Skills / Experience:

  • University degree
  • Ability to draft IFRS financial statements and regulatory returns
  • Analytical ability with proactive attitude
  • Desire to build a commercial understanding of the business – not just ‘numbers in boxes’
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong team player

    • Desirable Skills / Experience:

  • Experience in top tier accounting firms
  • Industry experience
  • Experience in working with large/complex datasets
  • Tableau/ Alteryx/ Workiva
