Job Responsibilities

  • Vendor-facing contract review, redlining, drafting (with attorney support) and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, event contracts, data licenses and other related agreements.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders about contracts that are in progress and executed contracts, advise on contract process, and provide status updates.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders, vendor legal departments or other similar third parties, to build relationships, find solutions and best represent Tradeweb’s business interests.
  • Assist in maintaining our vendor contract repository, including managing the contracting process (both within a contract management application and offline), reporting on key terms, developing and iterating on form documentation, and managing contract data.
  • Contribute to legal team’s overall efforts to drive the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures by identifying efficiencies and simplifying workflows.
  • Develop expertise in the contract lifecycle management system used to track requests and store contracts/amendments.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of existing processes, including updating or creating standard form templates, contract playbooks and guidelines, escalation processes, procurement training and tools, and FAQs.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in an in-house legal department.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Qualified lawyers considered, but not necessary.
  • Strong experience with reviewing, analyzing, drafting, communicating, and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Experience with documentation related to UK and EU regulatory frameworks relevant to data protection, third-party risk and operational resilience, including the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and DORA (e.g., data privacy agreements).
  • Passionate about building and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders across internal teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the skill to explain legal issues to internal business partners clearly and pragmatically and effectively counsel internal business partners by providing clear and concise advice and creative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Able to take ownership of matters independently, with appropriate supervision from senior team members.
