A leading construction contractor delivering major infrastructure works as part of the AMP8 water framework is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to support the delivery of reinforced concrete structures on a key project based in Stafford. This is an excellent long-term contract opportunity to join a high-performing project team on a nationally significant water infrastructure programme.
Responsibilities
- Setting out reinforced concrete structures in accordance with project drawings and specifications
- Establishing and maintaining site control points and survey data
- Ensuring all works are carried out accurately and in line with design tolerances
- Liaising with site engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to coordinate works
- Conducting as-built surveys and maintaining clear site records
- Supporting quality assurance and technical compliance on site
Requirements
- Proven experience setting out reinforced concrete structures (essential)
- Previous experience on water or infrastructure projects desirable
- Strong understanding of setting out procedures, engineering drawings, and tolerances
- Ability to work independently and manage survey responsibilities on site
- Own surveying kit required
- Relevant engineering or surveying background
