We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual, commercial, and quality requirements.

The role requires a strong background in civil engineering, with proven experience managing complex projects, coordinating site teams, and working collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, from planning and mobilisation through to completion and handover.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project programmes, ensuring works are delivered on schedule and within agreed timescales.
  • Take responsibility for project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and commercial performance.
  • Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partners.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and opportunities, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Review project progress, prepare reports, and communicate updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Support the successful completion, commissioning, and handover of projects.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract management, and project delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent programme management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets, costs, and resources.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing project teams and subcontractors.
Qualifications & Certifications
  • HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • SMSTS certification preferred.
  • CSCS certification preferred.
  • First Aid certification preferred.
