This is a brand new role for the business — an ideal opportunity for a CNC Turner Setter/Operator who wants to make their mark and help shape a function from the ground up.
The Role: As CNC Turner Setter/Operator you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components, working to tight tolerances and exacting standards. This is a hands‑on role requiring a confident, self‑sufficient CNC Turner Setter/Operator who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing
- Programme and adjust machine parameters using Fanuc controls and G‑code
- Conduct quality checks on finished parts to meet strict tolerances
- Carry out routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Document production activities accurately
- Collaborate with the wider team to drive continuous process improvement
What They're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner Setter/Operator or in a similar machining role
- Confident with Fanuc controls and proficient in G‑code programming
- Competent in setting tools and adjusting offsets independently
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using measuring equipment
- Experience with grinding or milling is highly desirable
- Previous supervisory experience would be a bonus
The Package:
- £30,000–£40,000 depending on experience
- Non‑contractual performance bonus — 10% of annual salary achieved last year
- Monday to Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–15:30 — early Friday finish every week
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
