We are seeking a skilled Façade CAD Designer to join our team and support the design and delivery of façade systems including curtain walling, windows, doors, and cladding. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring designs are compliant, buildable, and aligned with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Technical Drawing
- Produce detailed CAD drawings for façade systems including layouts, sections, fabrication drawings, and installation details.
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop coordinated façade designs.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, building regulations, and industry standards.
- Revise drawings based on design reviews, client feedback, and engineering requirements.
- Coordination & Collaboration
- Liaise with architects, engineers, estimators, project managers, and fabrication teams.
- Coordinate design information with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support project teams during design, pre-construction, and manufacturing stages.
- Technical Support
- Assist with material take-offs and technical documentation.
- Identify design clashes or constructability issues and propose solutions.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and organized project files.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all technical drawings.
- Follow internal CAD standards and drawing protocols.
- Support quality assurance processes throughout design development.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a CAD Designer within façades, curtain walling, or glazing systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
