Role defined: MOBA UK is seeking to appoint a person that can deliver an effective, efficient position as a Junior Area Sales Manager that is flexible to meet the needs of the sales department and to achieve the sales objectives. They should have experience working in a sales environment with technical knowledge and the understanding of machinery and processes. The Junior Area Sales Manager position plays a crucial role in assisting the sales team to achieve their targets, looking after specified customer segments (e.g. tier 2 and 3) and provide a seamless customer experience. The Junior Area Sales Manager is responsible for handling administrative and operational tasks to streamline the sales process and ensure customer satisfaction. Travelling away from home will be expected as part of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Assistance: Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and assist with order placement. Resolve customer issues and concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain excellent customer relationships and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and target potential customers, including egg producers, farms, and food processing companies, within the UK & Eire. Generate leads through market research, cold calling, networking, and other strategies.
  • Sales Administration: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, orders, and customer interactions. Prepare and process sales orders and invoices. Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of products or services.
  • Support for Sales Team: Assist the sales team in preparing quotes and proposals for customers and follow up. Schedule appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for sales representatives.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with product knowledge to effectively assist customers and provide relevant information.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and potential customers. Provide insights and data to the sales team to help identify new sales opportunities.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Must be skilled in value-based selling. This starts with a deep understanding of the customer's business, challenges, and objectives.
  • Trade Shows and Events: Participate in industry trade shows and events to represent the company and its products, as well as to generate leads and build brand awareness.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with the sales team to ensure a smooth flow of information.

Person Specification

  • Qualifications: Business administration S/NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification or work experience. Minimum GCSE math and English C/level/grade 4.
  • Experience and training: Experience of using PCs on a business network running MS Windows and Office 365, along with email and internet and business specific applications.
  • Skills/Knowledge: To work within a team environment, demonstrating tact and diplomacy with other members of staff.
  • Other attributes: The post holder will provide administrative support to the Area Sales Manager of MOBA UK and support day to day operations of this department.
