About the role

We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join P2ML, the structural engineering arm of Mitie Telecoms, supporting the delivery of bespoke engineering solutions within the telecommunications sector.

  • Role Responsibilities
  • Undertake the assessment, design, inspection and approval of structures supporting telecoms equipment, including strengthening and remedial works.
  • Produce structural calculations, design sketches and technical reports to substantiate engineering proposals.
  • Act as a key technical point of contact, supporting project delivery and working closely with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage projects across technical, planning and commercial aspects, monitoring costs and budgets to support strong commercial outcomes.
  • Prepare appropriate Health & Safety documentation and support continuous improvement by mentoring junior engineers.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a structural engineering role.
  • Strong experience using structural analysis software, with MS Tower, Open Tower, STAAD and Hilti Profis being preferred.
  • Actively working towards Chartered Engineer status (Structural or Civil Engineering discipline).
  • Experience within the telecommunications sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to carry out occasional site surveys on rooftops and, preferably, tower sites.
