Main Responsibilities:

  • Creative and technical development of the product range, providing innovative designs and new product development solutions.
  • Creating detailed drawings for manufacturing.
  • Creation of user assembly guides and installation manuals.
  • Engaging with multiple suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured to the tolerances required.
  • Able to produce high quality renders of concepts.
  • Creating and documenting processes for management of manufacturing, assembly of final products as well as a quality assurance process.
  • Ensuring manufactured products are delivered to standard and spec, on time and budget.
  • Ensuring the assembly process created is followed by engineers and amend if required.
  • Developing a quality assurance process and being responsible for the final sign off on checking quality assurance prior to shipping.
  • Research & develop new product range.
  • Keep pursuing improvements on existing products.
  • Integrate creative design, mechanical engineering, and forward-thinking approach to produce next design elevations.
  • Supply marketing materials to assist new business opportunities.
  • Maintain unique product distinction.
  • Develop product quality control and assurance process.
  • Check engineering drawings prior to manufacture.
  • Liaising with sales team on bespoke requirements, advise on the feasibility and time scale.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a Product Design Role.
  • Excellent CAD skills (Solidworks).
  • Sheet metal understanding and experience of rendering packages (Visualise or Keyshots).
  • A high degree of technical knowledge and creative ability with a hands‑on approach.
  • Visual and spatial awareness.
  • Full, clean driving license & passport.

Commercial Awareness:

  • Knowledge of industrial processes, techniques, and standards.
  • Knowledge of the AV industry desirable, but not essential.
