A great opportunity for a conveyancing assistant to join a busy Commercial Property team in Skipton, with plenty of client contact, a supportive learning environment and clear scope to progress. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who is accurate, organised and confident working through high volumes of work while keeping clients and colleagues updated.
You will provide administrative support to a Commercial Property team handling a high-volume caseload of sale, purchase and lease transactions. You’ll play a key part in keeping matters moving, maintaining accurate file records and delivering a professional, friendly service.
Key Responsibilities- Opening new files, inputting instructions onto the case management system and producing relevant letters and documents
- Updating the case management system in line with team procedures as matters progress
- Issuing contracts on sale files and assisting with replies to enquiries
- Ordering searches and supporting the progression of matters
- Supporting exchanges and completion steps, including related paperwork
- Setting up completions and issuing mortgage reports to clients
- Dealing with incoming post and telephone enquiries where appropriate
- General administration including filing, billing, copying, sorting post and archiving
- At least 6 months’ experience in conveyancing (or a similar fast-paced property support role)
- Confident IT skills and ability to pick up systems quickly (case management experience preferred)
- Accurate, organised approach with strong attention to detail
- Able to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
- Confident handling enquiries in a customer-friendly and professional way
- Flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure
- Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Salary of £23,000 to £27,000 (depending on experience)
