Altera Recruitment Group is seeking to appoint an Assistant Operations Manager to join a growing organisation with a strong presence in the anaerobic digestion and process operations market. We need a proactive and technically minded Assistant Operations Manager to support the performance and day to day operations of multiple anaerobic digestion facilities across the UK and Northern Ireland. The role combines operational oversight, maintenance coordination, technical troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement.
This opportunity would suit an individual with experience in industrial operations, utilities, wastewater, energy, or process engineering environments who enjoys a hands on and varied position with regular site interaction.
Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Operations Manager- Provide operational support across multiple renewable energy and process plant sites throughout the UK and Northern Ireland
- Assist with equipment diagnostics, fault finding, and coordination of maintenance activities across mechanical and electrical systems
- Liaise with contractors, site teams, and technology providers to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
- Support site inspections, performance reviews, reporting, and operational administration activities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, stakeholders, and on site personnel
- Previous experience within mechanical and/or electrical maintenance environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues effectively
- Background within anaerobic digestion, utilities, wastewater, industrial processing, or similar sectors would be advantageous
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem solving capabilities
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively as part of the role
- Competitive salary package of £40,000 – £45,000
