Our client is looking to recruit a Restructuring & Insolvency Associate or Senior Associate to join a friendly, fast-paced team in Sheffield. You will work on complex restructuring and non-contentious corporate insolvency matters, supporting a national practice with a strong reputation in this space. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technically interesting work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to build a long-term career in restructuring and insolvency.

The Role

  • Advising on restructuring and insolvency issues arising from financial pressure and distress
  • Supporting on insolvency advisory work for a range of stakeholders (including insolvency practitioners, corporates, lenders and investors)
  • Assisting with distressed business and asset sales, including transaction support and related documentation
  • Advising on finance and security matters connected to restructuring and insolvency work
  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider national team to deliver joined-up advice
  • Managing matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on client service

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
  • 1 to 4 years’ PQE with exposure to restructuring and non-contentious insolvency work (during training or post-qualification)
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Commercial approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a busy environment

Desirable

  • Experience supporting on distressed M&A style work, including asset and share sales
  • Exposure to finance and security issues within a restructuring context
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and coordinating across teams
