Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with 13 UK offices and over 1,000 colleagues, is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Commercial Disputes lawyer to join their Sheffield team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked team handling complex, high-value disputes across multiple sectors including manufacturing, technology, hospitality, food, and sports.
About the Role
As a Senior Commercial Disputes Lawyer, you'll be a key member of a dynamic team that has enjoyed stellar growth and is committed to continuing its upward trajectory. You'll handle a varied and intellectually challenging caseload, working alongside a team of six lawyers including a Partner, Director, Managing Associate, two Associates, and two Legal Assistants.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling complex and high-value commercial disputes
- Managing cases across diverse sectors and client types
- Specialising in areas including:
- Shareholder, partnership, and trusts disputes
- Commercial contracts and warranties
- Sale and purchase agreements
- Professional negligence claims
- Enforcement of restrictive covenants
- Fraud and misrepresentation cases
- Injunctive relief, including freezing orders
- Contentious insolvency and enforcement matters
- Reputational management, including defamation
- Developing and maintaining relationships with prestigious national and international clients
- Contributing to the team's business development efforts
- Providing strategic, commercial, and pragmatic legal advice
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
- Collaborating across the firm's 13 UK offices
- Bringing your unique specialism to enhance the team's existing proposition

Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with minimum 8 years' PQE in commercial disputes
- Proven experience in handling complex, high-value commercial litigation
