We’re working with a well-established UK accountancy and advisory firm to hire a Share Schemes Manager or Senior Manager into their Tax, Workforce Advisory team in London. This is a client-facing role advising employers on the design, implementation and ongoing operation of employee share plans, with exposure to wider workforce and employment tax considerations.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on UK employee share plans including EMI, CSOP, SAYE, SIP and non tax-advantaged arrangements
- Lead delivery across share plan projects, from initial scoping through to implementation and ongoing support
- Provide practical advice on the tax and reporting treatment of share awards and options for employers and employees
- Support on valuations and HMRC interactions where required (including agreeing EMI valuations where relevant)
- Manage annual compliance and governance requirements, ensuring filings and documentation are accurate and on time
- Support clients through corporate events such as fundraises, reorganisations and exits, ensuring share plans are reviewed and treated correctly
- Review work prepared by junior team members and provide coaching, feedback and quality control
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams (corporate tax, audit, payroll, legal) and contribute to business development activity within the Workforce Advisory group

About You
- Strong experience advising on UK employee share plans (practice or in-house)
- Comfortable handling both advisory work (design, transactions, implementation) and ongoing compliance
- Confident managing multiple client projects and deadlines, with a high standard of written output
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to communicate technical points clearly
- Ideally qualified (ACA/CTA/ATT or equivalent), or qualified by experience
