The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements for the SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration project. The role involves acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that the solution aligns with business needs and project objectives. The Business Analyst will work closely with functional teams, IT, and external consultants to define requirements, conduct gap analysis, and support the overall design and implementation of the new system.
Dimensions / Scale
- Project Scope: Working across multiple business functions (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, etc.) to gather and define requirements for the SAP S/4HANA system, ensuring that business objectives are met.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with business stakeholders at all levels to ensure their needs are captured and reflected in the solution design.
- Collaboration: Working closely with IT teams, external consultants (System Integrator), and functional leads to ensure that business requirements are translated into functional specifications and system configurations.
- Geographical Scope: Supporting business units across different regions (e.g., UK, Australia) in capturing their specific requirements and ensuring alignment with the global project goals.

- Work with the System Integrator (SI) to ensure that the proposed solution aligns with business needs and SAP best practices.
- Support the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager in developing test cases and scenarios based on the business requirements.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that the system meets business expectations and address any issues raised during testing.
- Serve as a point of contact for business stakeholders throughout the project, ensuring clear and consistent communication about project progress, requirements, and changes.
- Regularly update key stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues, and facilitate decision‑making when required.
- Provide support post‑go‑live to ensure a smooth transition to SAP S/4HANA, addressing any concerns or issues raised by business users.
- Ensure proper documentation of new processes and systems, and assist in user training and adoption where necessary.
