An opportunity has arisen with our client based near Sandy who are looking for a metal polisher to join their skilled and knowledgeable team working on a dayshift. This is essentially a hands-on role, working within a small team and is an excellent opportunity to work and learn with a well-respected market leading engineering company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manual polishing of components.
- Ensuring quality has been reached within all areas of production.
- Fettling, Grinding, Deburring.
- Polishing out weld seams.
- Liaise with quality/production to raise any material issues.
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment.
Person Specification:
- Experience of working in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Confident in working with pliable material.
- Knowledge of Sanders, Air Saws, Electrical Hand Grinders and hand tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Good team player; able to communicate well with others.
- Understanding of different metal types.
Hours of Work and Pay:
- 39 Hours per week.
- Up to £13/hour DOE.
- Overtime at time and a half.
- Own transport required.
