Manufacturing market leader now looking to recruit for a permanent role as Food Shift Manager based in Worcestershire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities including planning and problem solving and provides guidance to their team members.
  • Sets targets, implements guidelines, and assists with any issues the employees may have.
  • Implements team goals and ensures all members understand the team’s objectives and work together to achieve them.
  • Drives KPIs.
  • Fosters a cohesive, creative, and comfortable working environment, mediating any interpersonal issues within the team.
  • Provides leadership and direction where necessary.
  • Awareness of team strategies, using technology, workplace diversity, management styles, mediation, macro, and micro-management.
  • Supervises, trains or guides team members.
  • Use of time management system to authorise weekly time sheets for all direct reports and time off requests.
  • Inspires and motivates team members.
  • Provides effective feedback.
  • This role has a responsibility for food safety, product quality, brand integrity and Health and Safety.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Customer oriented, trustworthy and efficient, self-motivated.
  • Prior experience leading a food production team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effectual time and project management skills.
  • Ability to make responsible and effective decisions.
  • Effectively work on own initiative.
  • Communicate efficiently – both written and verbally.
  • Be able to meet targets and handle a high-pressure environment.
  • Be able to lead and manage teams.
  • Conversant in Microsoft Office.

Shifts Available:

  • DAYS: Mon-Fri, 5:30am-2pm - Up to £45K.
  • BACK SHIFT: Mon-Fri, 2:30pm-11pm - Up to £60K.

33 days holiday, auto pension after 3 months.
