Technical Partners are working with a leading engineering and technology organisation to recruit a Proposals Engineer. This role plays a critical part in producing high-quality technical and commercial tender submissions across complex industrial projects. You’ll collaborate with proposals, engineering, sales and supply chain teams to develop tailored solutions that align with client requirements and engineering best practice. The variety and scale of tenders offer strong opportunities for technical and professional development. Key Responsibilities
- Review customer specifications and develop compliant, cost-effective technical solutions
- Produce conceptual designs including control panel layouts, MCCs, PLC/SCADA architectures, networks, servers and associated infrastructure
- Prepare persuasive tender documentation including technical descriptions, clarifications, assumptions, exclusions and delivery strategies
- Create accurate estimates for engineering hours and materials, including BOM development and supplier engagement
- Support sales teams during pre- and post-tender discussions
- Participate in tender reviews and risk assessments
- Coordinate technical and commercial inputs from internal teams and subcontractors
- Manage multiple tenders concurrently while providing clear progress updates
- Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal and estimating processes
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety and quality standards
