Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for driving forward the Repairs Improvement Programme, an essential part of the Council’s wider Housing Improvement Plan. This role focuses on organisational redesign and implementing a new operating model to improve service efficiency, resident satisfaction, and operational standards.
- You will lead high-impact change initiatives, working closely with senior managers, trade teams, and support functions to embed new ways of working across the repairs service.
- Lead the delivery of organisational change projects aligned to the new repairs operating model for the DLO.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable project plans, milestones, and measurable benefits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to redesign processes, roles, and structures that enhance productivity and resident experience.
- Oversee programme documentation including risk registers, benefits tracking, and governance reporting.
- Ensure enabling functions (ICT, procurement, finance, performance) are aligned to support the new model.
Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience delivering large-scale organisational redesign or service transformation, ideally within housing or public sector environments.
- Strong programme and project management skills, with a track record of implementing operating model changes.
- In-depth understanding of housing repairs services and sector-specific challenges; direct experience in repairs improvement is highly desirable.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement across diverse groups including frontline teams, contractors, and residents.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling reports and presentations for senior audiences.
