We are seeking an experienced Commercial Glazing Contracts Manager to join our client, a well-established specialist in the façade and glazing sector. This is a site-based role in Manchester, overseeing the successful delivery of commercial glazing projects valued up to £5m. You will take responsibility for managing multiple live projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires a strong background in glazing, curtain walling, windows, and doors, along with proven experience managing projects from pre-start through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of glazing and façade projects from mobilisation through to completion
  • Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and direct labour to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements
  • Coordinate closely with clients, main contractors, and internal commercial teams
  • Monitor project programmes and drive progress on site
  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
  • Manage variations, valuations, and commercial reporting in collaboration with QS teams
  • Attend site meetings and represent the business professionally with Tier 1/2 contractors
  • Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively to avoid delays

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the glazing, façades, or curtain walling sector
  • Strong track record delivering commercial glazing projects up to £5m
  • Excellent knowledge of aluminium systems, glazing installation, and façade construction methods
  • Strong leadership and site management skills
  • Experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 main contractors preferred
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold) and First Aid (preferred)
