About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a top-tier law firm for a Paralegal to join their well-established Housing Disrepair team based in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for a Law graduate to gain hands‑on experience within a dynamic legal environment that is recognised by the Legal 500.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing initial claim documentation and triage reports
- Taking initial client instructions over the phone
- Identifying files to be progressed or rejected
- Handling incoming and outgoing post, emails, and routine client calls
- Liaising with surveyors and external experts
- Responding to queries from clients and referral partners
- Supporting the wider legal team with administrative and legal tasks under supervision
- Performing any other duties as reasonably requested by the Partners
What We’re Looking For
- Law graduate (LLB or equivalent)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities using digital case management systems
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Reliable, proactive, and professional with strong interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion when handling confidential information
- Committed to delivering excellent client care and supporting team success
