We are hiring for our client, a progressive and dynamic organisation within the Mechanical sector, seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Commercial team in Newry. The Role:
- Manage all commercial aspects of construction/mechanical projects, including cost control and budget management
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery
- Identify commercial risks and maximise project profitability
- Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Monitor financial performance and produce reports for senior management
- Prepare cost/value reconciliations, interim valuations, and final accounts
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and support junior team members
- Assist with monthly cost and margin reporting
The Person:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Strong knowledge of contracts and relevant regulations
- MEP experience – not essential
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficient in cost estimation and financial reporting
- Organised, solutions-focused, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- RICS membership desirable but not essential
- Full, clean UK/ROI driving licence with flexibility to travel to Greater Dublin sites
