We are working with a highly reputable and well-known facilities management contractor who provides all-round building maintenance services to clients throughout the UK. Due to continued expansion, we are currently looking to recruit a static engineer to join the team.
This role is based on a commercial site in MK9, and you will be responsible for site maintenance.
- Deliver both planned and reactive mechanical, electrical and fabric maintenance services across the site using CAFM systems and handheld devices.
- As a key part of the team, ensure compliance, safety, and efficiency in all engineering operations, whilst upholding high standards in alignment with company values.
- Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) using Ostara.
- Respond promptly to building alarms (via helpdesk or BMS), escalating where required.
- Manage reactive maintenance tasks via CAFM system and meet SLA targets.
- Close out PPMs in a timely fashion and follow up remedial actions.
- Liaise closely with Supervisor, technical admin, and service delivery teams.
- Escort/coordinate subcontractors during maintenance visits.
- Provide cover during holidays and sickness—share responsibilities within the shift team.
- Participate in minor engineering projects and reactive maintenance.
- Maintain 100% compliance across all tasks, and proactively ensure regulatory and asset management compliance.
- Adhere to permit to work processes, carry out isolations to energy sources as needed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Order materials and obtain quotes for works.
- Provide first-time fixes for engineering and fabric requests wherever practicable.
Person: You must be electrically or mechanically qualified and will hold Level 2 or 3 or equivalent. You will have experience carrying out maintenance, PPM and reactive maintenance works. You will ideally have good general knowledge of all-round M&E FM maintenance. You will live locally and be happy to commute to site daily. Good IT skills and excellent communication skills are essential. You must be happy with a role working Mon-Fri 4 weeks and 1 week Tues-Sat, alternating hours of 7am - 4pm and 10am - 7pm.
Package: Base salary £44,000. Mon-Fri alternating 7am - 4pm and 10am - 7pm with 1 week in 5 working Tues-Sat 8am - 5pm. 40 hours per week. Callout 1 in 5.
