We’re looking for an experienced Microsoft Project Engineer to join an established & growing consultancy team on a 6-month fixed term contract, with a strong likelihood of converting to permanent employment afterwards. You’ll design and deliver leading Microsoft cloud, virtualisation, and security solutions for a wide range of clients. This is a hands-on, client-facing role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced project environments and who enjoys working with modern Microsoft technologies.
You’ll take ownership of the technical delivery of multiple consultancy projects, including:
- Microsoft Intune deployments
- Azure migrations
- Microsoft 365 transitions
Ensuring solutions align with customer requirements, security best practices, and Microsoft standards. Providing technical input into pre-sales activities, including solution design and security considerations. Identifying opportunities for service improvement, new technologies, and enhanced security approaches. Representing the business professionally in client meetings, workshops, and presentations. Supporting service transition activities, ensuring smooth handover into Managed and Security Services, including documentation and knowledge transfer. Building and maintaining strong relationships with sales teams and technology vendors. Maintaining a proactive, professional, and customer-focused approach across all communications. Developing a specialism in at least one Tier-1 Microsoft technology, such as: Intune/Azure/Entra ID/ Microsoft 365/ Microsoft Security etc.
Maintaining continuous professional development and working towards relevant vendor certifications. Mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
You should have some hands-on experience and industry certifications like Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Security would be highly beneficial. You must have at least 5 years’ experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a 3rd Line or equivalent role. You should have technical skills covering:
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
- Solid understanding of Windows and macOS
- Experience with Active Directory, user management, and security permissions
- Good knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator, able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to clients
Working Conditions: Hybrid working: 1–2 days per week in the Central London office (Liverpool Street). Contract: 6-month fixed term with a high likelihood of permanent employment.
