We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our diverse and inclusive team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing planned maintenance, diagnosing faults, and addressing breakdowns within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your contribution will ensure the smooth operation of equipment and contribute to the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our operations.

Salary: £48,000 – £50,000 + on‑call allowance (~£3,000) + overtime

Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm (37.5 hours per week). Expect 70 hours of shutdown overtime (twice per year) plus an average of 15 hours monthly OT.

Holidays: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, your daily activities will include:

  • Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain optimal plant performance.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate maintenance records.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments on mechanical systems.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of operational machinery and equipment.
  • Identify and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency in systems and processes.
  • Carry out risk assessments and adhere to safety standards during all tasks.
  • Participate in system upgrades and process enhancements as needed.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
