Overview
Trainee Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer required to join a leading provider of industrial / automated packaging machinery and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance on packaging machinery / solutions at customer sites across the UK.
- Full product training provided.
- To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of automated packaging machinery / solutions equipment at customer sites.
- Installing automated packaging machinery into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
- Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various packaging machinery / solutions.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
- Working at customer sites throughout the UK.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
- Experience as a Trainee Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Graduate Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Entry level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar is advantageous.
- Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, NVQ level 3, city & guilds, HNC, HND or similar would be a plus.
- Hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical domains with a willingness to learn is desired though not a necessity.
- Determination to learn the industrial automation / packaging / robotics industry and related fields with enthusiasm for career progression opportunities.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK with regular customer site visits.
Package
- £30,000 - £32,000 basic depending on experience.
- Salary rising up to £45k once experience gained.
