Could you transform relationships into strategic partnerships to help improve the lives of people living with sight loss? Henshaws is looking for a Strategic Partnerships Manager to drive new income, develop influential partnerships and raise the profile of their Sight Loss Services across Greater Manchester. Working across NHS, local authority, VCSE, community and corporate networks, you'll help secure the funding and partnerships that enable people living with sight loss to thrive.

Location: Manchester/Hybrid, estimated 3 days either in the office or at meetings

Salary: circa £42k per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week (part-time applications welcome)

Benefits: 5 weeks holiday plus 10 bank days

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to define a new role, build key partnerships and influence the growth of an emerging area within the income generation portfolio. Day-to-day you can expect to:

  • Develop and secure commissioning, contract and funding opportunities across Greater Manchester.
  • Build strong relationships with NHS, Local Authority, VCSE, corporate and community partners.
  • Lead and support bids, tenders and partnership proposals from opportunity through to submission.
  • Represent Henshaws across Greater Manchester networks, forums and partnership groups.
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities, helping to generate sustainable income and long-term impact.

About you

We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, relationship-focused and motivated by values and purpose. We’ll be looking for you to bring:

  • Experience in business development, sales, partnerships or income generation, in a relevant space.
  • The confidence to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience developing proposals, bids, tenders or funding applications.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities at once.
  • A proactive approach and the resilience to spot opportunities and see them through.

Experience within the charity, health, education or public sector would be an advantage, but we're equally keen to hear from applicants with transferable skills and a strong track record of generating income and building partnerships.
