Equifind are excited to have joined up with a global fintech organisation, who are looking for some management accountant support to join the business and assist them for a few busy months during audit season. We’re looking for a management accountant, who has a strong understanding of reconciliations and audit duties. You must be confident and happy to pick up duties at the drop of a hat.
Key duties and responsibilities for this management accountant position include:
- Preparation of the management accounts for multiple entities including P&L and Balance sheet reporting
- Assist with the consolidated reporting for the business
- Oversee the accounts payable and expenses function
- Manage the annual audit for all entities and be a contact point for the auditors
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget for the business
- Manage the rolling forecast for the business
- Support with the production of tax statements
- Support the senior management with MI reporting and analysis
- Help improve the financial framework for the business, developing internal controls and policies
- Get involved with other various projects and ad hoc work requested by senior management
Experience & Qualifications
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1-3 years PQE would be best suited to this role
- A background in fintech or financial services would be advantageous
- Experience of Sage is highly desirable
- History of being involved and running audits
- Strong communication skills
- Be a self-starter and have the ability to work on your own accord
About the business
The business is in the payments space and has grown considerably over the past 5 years. You will be involved in a very dynamic business that will provide you with lots of exciting work to get your teeth into. With offices all over the world you will be joining an international business that is at the forefront of its sector. The finance team has over 15 in total, so you will interact with many daily. For this role, you will work closely with the financial controller and assist with both the month end reporting duties, as well as the MI work. This role will be hybrid with 4 days in the London office per week to get everything over the line for the audit.
Daily Rate/Salary
This exciting opportunity for a management accountant will pay between £60k-£75k pro rata for circa 6 months, depending on your qualifications and industry experience. We will look at day rate candidates as well, inside IR35, who prefer an equivalent daily rate. We will be having interviews early next week with a view to starting this assignment the following week.
